The Girl with the Needle Leads the Robert Awards 2026 with Eight Wins
28.01.2026The Robert Awards / the Danish Film Academy’s annual ceremony honouring the best of Danish cinema / were held on 31 January 2026. In a memorable night for Scandinavian cinema, Magnus von Horn’s The Girl with the Needle (Pigen med nålen) emerged as the most decorated film of the evening, collecting eight statuettes out of 15 nominations.
However, the top prize / Best Feature Film / went to Zinnini Elkington’s debut Second Victims (Det andet offer), which also took Best Director and Best Original Screenplay. It was a remarkable achievement for a first-time director. Veteran actress Marianne Christensen received the Honorary Robert Award.
