The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to provide data subjects with information regarding the processing and protection of their personal data by FACE – Federation of Film Academies Europe (hereinafter referred to as the “Association”), and to inform them of their rights under European data protection legislation, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (the “General Data Protection Regulation” or “GDPR”).

The personal data that may be collected includes:

- The legitimate interests pursued by the Association in carrying out its activities and objectives;

FACE – Federation of Film Academies Europe may, however, retain certain data beyond this period for statistical, research, historical, or archival purposes relating to the European film and audiovisual sector. Such processing is carried out in accordance with Articles 5 and 89 of the GDPR and subject to the safeguards provided therein.

FACE – Federation of Film Academies Europe may refuse a request for erasure where the data is necessary for the performance of tasks carried out in the public interest, for legitimate archival purposes, or where retention is required by law, in accordance with Article 89 of the GDPR.
